Have you ever seen a mechanism design that resembles roads?

It all started with the diploma project while studying for a master's degree. Audemars Piguet(Pronounced Odemar Pige) It all started with designing watches. This project marked his first step into watchmaking. But he truly fell in love with watchmaking during a visit to Geneva. Patek Philippe It was a museum. He designed his first skull-shaped clock in 2010 after receiving inspiration from various sources. His diploma project attracted great interest. His professors gave him the contact information of some suppliers and told him that he would now move his prototype clock to the assembly stage. After the diploma jury published a photo of this clock, more than 100 people became curious and started asking how to buy it.
The person you're reading about is Scottish designer Fiona Krüger.
My paths crossed with Krüger while researching female designers in the watchmaking world. I was captivated by a watch she made. I wanted to introduce it to you.
Face Of Tasaki

Krüger, like every designer, did a lot of research for inspiration. In this instance, the windows of Tasaki's wonderfully minimalist Ginza Flagship store inspired him, and he would create a magnificent work called Face of Tasaki.
Tank bodies have entered our lives. CARTIER Although it was introduced with this design, we know it's difficult to make innovations in this case. However, Krüger added a new perspective to the case, and with the movement in the dial and the brilliant design in the mechanism, he caused a great improvement in the tank case.

When we look at the dial of a watch, we see the clock and a circle beneath it. In fact, that circle isn't just an empty circle. It represents the rotor of the mechanism. And as the watch moves, the rotor moves as well, adding movement to the dial. Isn't that a brilliant idea? The story takes the inspiration from naming this movement a pearl floating in the sea, taking it to another level.

The movement itself is a masterpiece of design. It's said that the mosaic-like bridge shapes and decorations (I liken them to roads :)) invite you to admire the caseback rather than the front of the watch. Another detail is the brushed details. I have no doubt that when you delve into these details, you'll find the equivalents of minimalist, elegant, and sophisticated. Its features include a wind-up movement, a 38-hour power reserve, 25200 jewels, and a 21 vph.
