Geneva Watch Days, which began in 2020, brought watch enthusiasts together for the sixth time this year. Held from September 6th to 4th, the event hosted major brands like Breitling, Zenith, and TAG Heuer, as well as prominent representatives of independent haute horlogerie such as Konstantin Chaykin, H. Moser, Krayon, and Urwerk. Relatively more accessible brands like Furlan Marri, Oris, Dennison, and Squale also participated.

The event showcased many new models. Now, let's take a look at some of the standout models that caught my attention the most.

Behrens

KWH, the first collaboration between Behrens and Swiss watchmaker Vianney Halter, a brand striving to elevate China's image in the watchmaking industry, has been unveiled. Considering the watch's design was inspired by antique electricity meters, KWH (kilowatt-hour) is a logical naming choice.

The rotating cylinders at 8 o'clock display the power reserve and day/night time. The cylinder at 4 o'clock displays the minutes. To read the time, you need to look at the chain line on the watch's bezel. The section with seven thick pins displays the time. This concept is inspired by the classic snake game. The back of the watch features a moon phase indicator and a date disc.

The watch is available in two different colors, with only nine pieces of each available. With its unusual design, delightful details, and complex mechanism, it's clearly a very intriguing model.

Price: $44,800 (excluding taxes)

Dennison ALD Dual Time

Dennison has breathed new life into the ALD collection. It is now possible to see two different time zones on the dial simultaneously, and this is achieved through two separate movements rather than a single movement like a GMT watch. quartz mechanism is provided.

The model has two different design layouts; the first one has a dial with two different natural stones, the second one has a color that matches the natural stone dial. sunrays It features a circular recessed sub-dial with a striking effect. Dennison aimed to reach a wider audience by offering this design in a wide variety of dial materials and colors.

It's also nice that they did all of this while preserving the good aspects of the first ALD collection. Conversation starter we can say that it is difficult to see often, the 70's dual-time A very thin (6.1mm) and elegant watch that bears traces of its watches.

If you were among those who were in the middle of the first collection, Dennison might convince you this time.

Singer Caballero

As a car enthusiast, Singer Reimagined is a very special brand to me. It's especially exciting to see them in the watch industry. Just like their cars, their watches combine retro design with cutting-edge engineering.

The dial design may not appeal to everyone, but their newly developed, patented mechanism is quite compelling. The movement boasts four spring barrels. This translates to four mainsprings, giving the watch a six-day power reserve. Thanks to its four-barrel configuration, the watch maintains a consistent torque for 144 hours. The four rubies on the dial are actually just the cover of the book.

Caballero, which means "gentleman" in Spanish, is described by the brand as "the gentleman's revolution." The collection features three different dial colors. My favorite is green.

Furlan Marri Disco Onyx Diamonds

Furlan Marri, which made a name for itself last year with its Disco Volante collection, has added a more stylish addition to its lineup this year. The case remains at 38mm, and the dial features onyx. Lab-grown diamond indices adorn the dial. This method avoids the environmental damage associated with mining, making diamonds more accessible.

It has a more refined and elegant dial than other members of the collection. The design is more dress watches I think such a simplification is natural, as it's shifted to the more refined part. The movement remains unchanged; it still uses the ETA Peseux 7001. The watch may appear larger in photos, but that's not the case in reality. When I first held the Disco Verde in my hand, I noticed its relatively compact dimensions.

This elegant watch, which was produced in a limited edition of 2025 pieces for 100, is already out of stock.

Gérald Genta Minute Repeater

Speaking of dress watches and onyx dials, I can't help but mention the Minute Repeater, introduced by the resurrected Gérald Genta brand. The watch boasts exquisite details like a beveled and stepped cushion case, a unicorn design at 12 and 6 o'clock, an elegant crown, a stone dial, and tracked minute indicators that follow the shape of the case. I highly recommend examining its photos from different angles.

By fixing the gongs directly to the chassis, the resulting sound is stronger, clearer, and more radiant. With a thickness of 9.6mm and a diameter of 40mm, it offers a comfortable fit.

This elegant watch is produced in limited editions of only 10 pieces per year.

Oris Big Crown Caliber 113

Oris pointer date It is one of the first brands that comes to our mind when we think of it, but this time, although similar, they are in a different form. business-calendar Calibre 113 with a (business calendar) complication came with a combination that differs from the classic colors.

The watch features a date and day window. A third hand displays the month and week. The design, reminiscent of a chronograph, features pink subdials that display the seconds and power reserve. The watch offers a full ten-day (240-hour) power reserve.

Although it seems like a good option for those who want colorful design and high technical skills, the 43mm case diameter may be annoying for some watch enthusiasts.

TAG Heuer “TH-Hairspring” Monaco and Carrera

TAG Heuer introduced significant innovations to watchmaking with the Monaco Flyback Chronograph TH-Carbonspring and Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport TH-Carbonspring models. They also introduced the TH-Carbonspring, a carbon hairspring technology developed entirely in-house. So, what are its advantages?

Immunity to magnetic fields, reduced friction and inertia thanks to its low weight (thus keeping better time), and finally, resistance to high-intensity impacts. I hope you don't reach 5G levels in your daily life...

The Monaco model, the brand's iconic chronograph, features a 39mm case made of forged carbon and a spiral pattern reminiscent of a balance spring at the center of the black carbon dial. The forged carbon texture, combined with the predominantly black design and white accents, creates a truly beautiful look. Powered by the TH20-60 movement, the watch boasts an 80-hour power reserve. It's also limited to 50 pieces.

The 44mm Carrera, with its forged carbon case, also stands out with its tourbillon mechanism. The tourbillon window blends with the white details on the black carbon dial. The spiral pattern radiating from the tourbillon window creates a truly beautiful appearance.

Powered by the COSC-certified TH20-61 caliber, it offers a 65-hour power reserve. This model is also limited to 50 pieces, but carries a much higher price tag.
